| 中文摘要 | 無可諱言,臺灣學生處在 EFL 的學習環境裡,想把英文的四種語文能力全都具備 的很好,真的很因難,以專科學生每週三小時的英文課接英文,更難在英文學習上有所突破 。因此,如何善加利用這有限三小時,做最切學生需要且有效的教學,眼前就屬能力分班最 為迫切需要。能力分班可讓老師訂定學生真正可以達到的教學目標,並針對學生的需要,重 點式加強,期使四種語文能力能均衡學習,提昇學生的學習動機。 本文研究以 Kohonen 所提出之 Kohonen Network 方法為架構的方法,對學生的英文能力做 客觀且有彈性的分班,期使學生能在適合自己學習能力的教學環境下進修,資質不佳學生不 再有學習壓力或尷尬,而資質佳學生不再認為課程無聊,而無法增進英文能力;老師可以為 每班的上課進度及難易度做通盤掌握,並能擬定明確易達成之教學目標,真正能協助每位學 生達成學習目標。 |
| 英文摘要 | It is no doubt that learning English is not easy for Taiwan's student s because the EFL setting. not to mention three hours' English class per week for junior college students to expect them better acquisition. therefore, it is important to make the most of the three-hour learning per week and turn to be m ost efficient; and the key is to classify the diversity of students' language s kills. In this case, the teacher can establish an achievable teaching goal for students to acquire the knowledge of English in term of the full language skil ls. In this paper, we use the Kohonen Network method to structure objectively and flexibly the evaluation and classification of students' English abilities; then each student will be grouped into the class suitable for his/her language background and ability. When students with more similar English backgrounds and abilities are clustered in the same class, dull students will not face the press ure and embarrassment resulting from learning with bright students as well as br ight student will not feel bored in class resulting from learning with dull students. Thus, the teacher can plan the suitable syllabus and choose proper teaching materials for each student in order to follow the specific teaching goa l, according to each student's English ability in the class. That will really he lp student s motivate and achieve their learning. |
