英文摘要 | Fractionation of boron isotopes was studied on 4-vinylpyridine-divinylbenzene resins in reverse breakthrough manner. The adsorption capacity of pyridine base resin. R-1,for 0.1 MH BO�� was low, 0.094 mmoles per mL of bed. A column packed with R-1to a height of 63.5 cm and saturated with 0.1 MH �蚪O��, when eluted with pure water, gave maximum separation ratio (R��/R�洁^ of �蹡 equal to about 1.01. The value of separation coefficient, and slope coefficient, k, were estimated to be 6.58 x 10 and 0.313 cm respectively. The boron isotope separation was also studied on a column packed with 44% quarternized pyridine resin, QR-1, to a 77.5 cm height. The uptake capacity of QR-1 for boric acid in a solution containing 0.1 MH�蚪O�� and 0.1 M mannitol was 0.68 mmoles per mL of bed. The column saturated with a solution containing 0.1 MH�蚪O�� and 0.1 M mannitol when eluted with 0.1 M HC1 in a reverse breakthrough manner gave the separation ratio of 2.0967. The value of and k were calculated to be 0.044 and 0.496 cm. |
