英文摘要 | We propose two rate-based window flow control schemes operating in static rate control mode and dynamic rate control mode respectively. These two schemes are designed to be employed in the transport protocol in the ATM LAN. A framework for the queueing analysis of both schemes is then presented. The approach is found to be computationally efficient and yields accurate approximation. Numerical results are also used to illustrate network performance under various control policies. The study shows that the dynamic rate control can provide throughput nearly the same as static rate control operating under high sending rate, while only leads to small message backlogs in the receiver or high-speed subnetwork. |
