中文摘要 | 臺電之IBM主機交易量成長迅速,而其中又以材料管理系統(MMS)及配電工程管理 系統 (DCIS),交易龐大, 造成擴充壓力,因而考量分散至各區營業處就近處理,以疏解總 處主電腦負荷,並提高回應效率。由於該等系統與採購、會計、資料代號……等諸多系統均 有密切之介面關係,本研究之目標在縝密規劃 MMS 及 DCIS 適型化 (Rightsizing) 最佳方 案,並提供具體可行之建議,以為爾後執行計畫、預算編列之參據! 本研究主要在經由對臺電現有應用系統狀況調查、訪談及瞭解評估,配合臺電對現行主機負 荷現況及未來發展分析,對相關應用系統處理方式進行可行性分析,同時考量分散處理衍生 的額外人力、管理成本,與效益作評比,作為未來臺電擬定資訊投資及資訊架構藍圖之參考 。 |
英文摘要 | Materials Management System (MMS) and Distribution Construction Information System (DCIS) are the major contributing factors for the rapid growth of transaction volume on Taipower IBM mainframe system. Their vast usage has not only caused workload issue but also affected response time significantly. Distributing MMS and DCIS transaction process systems to District Offices is cansidered the way to relieve system overload problem and improve response time. Therefar a feasibility study on the rightsizing of MMS and DCIS was conducted. Since MMS and DCIS are closely linked with other application system, such as Customer Information system (CIS), Billing Accounting System (BAS), General Billing System (GBS) and Automatic Mapping/Facility Management (AM/FM), report should provide recommendations on how these systems will match with new client/server system design of the MMS and DCIS. The study approach contained user interview to understand requirements and to assess performance of existing application systems, an well as evaluatian of current CPU workload and future application development direction. Key element is to map out new application system structure with technical evaluation of distribution process. The extra resource and managment cost inherited will be evaluated, and the resulted benefit will also be sized to make cost/benefit comparison. Recommendation on new system structure and cost/benefit compartison will serveas reference for Taipower to set up its future information system investment and blueprint of system architecture. |
