英文摘要 | Encouraged by National Projects recognizing the importance of schools experimenting themselves with ways to improve learning and teaching, one high school implemented a program utilizing alternative structures as a means toward enhancing learning outcomes. This paper traces how a program for disinclined students was developed. The program was implemented and research undertaken to discover if the changes in work organization affected learning outcomes. This paper examines the program, how it came into being, its aims, how it was implemented, and its results. As well, the paper draws attention to long-term implications. It is postulated that in this post-modern era of education, current school structures are failing to meet the needs of many students. The paper argues that this need not be the case if teachers are supported in new ways. |
