中文摘要 | 迄今為止,多數的管理領域內的研究乃追隨自然科學家所採之方法,大量依賴數量與統計技術。事實上,這種做法等於無形中接受了有關研究事項在本體論方面之某些重要假定。本文之目的,嘗試指出與此等假定有關之弱點與缺陷,建議在研究管理伺題上給予所謂定性研究方法較多重視。基於此種觀點,本文對於定量與定性研究方法亦予以簡要之比較討論。 |
英文摘要 | As yet, most research undertaken in the field of management follows the patterns of scientific research carried out by physical scientists with heavy reliance upon quantitative and statistical technigues. In fact, by doing so, it has implicitly accepted several important underlying assumptions concerning the ontological as well as espistemological nature and properties of the subject matters under investigation. This paper attempts to point out the weaknesses and flaws associated with the assumptions and calls for more attention to the use of the so-called qualita tive approach to the study of management problems. Along this direction, the differences between the quantitative versus qualitative approaches are also briefly compared and discussed. |
