英文摘要 | The sol-gel coating was successfully used to coat a layer of silica on the carbon-carbon composites that were either brominated or acetic acid treated. The oxidation rate of the coated sample was about five times lower than that that of the pristine sample at 650?C. However, the treatment of composites with bromine or acetic acid decreased the tensile modulus by 6% or 17% and the tensile strength by 5% or 20% respectively; it did not affect the ductility of composites. These tensile properties of the carbon-carbon composite were not affected by the coating process. |
