中文摘要 | 資料庫設計的程序可以粗分為邏輯資料庫設計及實體資料庫設計兩個階段,在邏輯資料庫設計實務方面,系統階析師與資料庫設計師通常會碰到許多困難,舉其要者如下:(1)實體和關係體之確立,乃是透過分析師個人經驗及訪談而得,因此若無類似經驗或訪談溝通不良時,E-R Diagram的正確性會大打折扣。(2)正規化(Normalization)如果只針對DFD中的資料儲存(Data Storage)而做,則經常需要多次修改,才能設計出較符合需求的資料庫,原因何在?(3)如果E-R Diagram不夠正確,則後續的資料結構圖(DSD)亦必隨之錯誤,這會使資料庫設計師無法掌握全貌,(4)缺乏一套制式化的文件將分析與設計的結果存檔以便後續工作者應用。因此本研究擬從實務觀點出發,設計出一套包含五步驟的方法,並將各步驟的文件予以標準化,來解決上述各項問題。在此同時,有關的理論部份也將做一個探討,並以個案研究方式做為本篇的總結,以供實務界參考。 |
英文摘要 | The procedurd of Data Base Design can be broadly defined as two stages of Logical Data base Design and Physical Data Base Design. The major difficulties that the system analysts and DB designers encounter in the practice of Logical Data Base Design are listed as follows: (1) The confirmation of Entity and Relationship is obtained through analysts' personal experience and interviews. If the analysists lacks such experience or there is distraction in interview communication, the correctness of E-R Diagram will be accordingly damaged. (2) Frequcent modification of mormalizations is required for a preferable Data Base Design if the normalization is made only for the Data Storage in Data Flow Diagram (DFD). (3) The analysists will blur their insights when working on the basis of a flawed Data Structure Diagram which results from an incorrect E-R Diagram. (4) Formalized Documentation for storing the results from analysis and design is in need for future researchers and further application. In order to solve the above problems in the practice of Data Base Design, this survey proposes a five-step method and standardized formats of documents in each step. Besides, the related theories will be discussed and finally a case study will be presented to sum up this survey. Hopefully, this survey can assist the practicers in Data Base Design. |
