英文摘要 | Some selected mechanical properties of peanut stems and pegs were evaluated in laboratory to decide the parameters of designing a lifting mechanism for a peanut combine harvester. The tensile strength and shear strength of peanut stems, the tensile strength of pegs, as well as the dynamic coefficient of friction between peanut stem and steel were determined using a universal testing machine and a rheometer. Results of experiments showed that the strength, both tensile and shear, decrease as the moisture content of peanut stems increases. The tensile strength of peanut stems vary from 12.5 to 18.3 MN/m �� and the shear strength 9.6 to 22.5 MN/m ��, respectively. The average tensile strength of peanut pegs is 16.1 MN/m ��. Meanwhile, the dynamic coefficient of friction between peanut stem and steel component is 0.45 radian. |
