英文摘要 | Studying on the palaeogeographic environment during the Pleistocene epoch in East China has important significane. In this paper, according to those data of relation of continent contrast with ocean, ancient landform, the feature of sediments, palaeoclimate, palaeophytes ancient animals, etc, the author analysed the palaeogeographic environment during the Pleistocene epoch in East China. 1.During the Late Pleistocene, the sea level of those seas near East China was lowered by 150m and the coast of the Yellow sea moved the line forward 600 km to the east. Most parts of the continental shelf became land and the continentality was strong. 2.The mountain ranges of East China are raised by the fault-block movement. These mountains were not as high as present. The basins of snow cover on these mountains were so small that they will not feed glaciers. 3.The characteristics of sediments (granularity, chemical feature, the debris fabric, etc.) have some features of the periglacial function. 4.The feature of the monsoon climate during the ice period of the Quaternary was that the winter monsoon was very strong and the summer monsoon was weaker than winter monsoon. The precipitation was less than present. The rainy season was concentrated in the summer season. The precipitation intensity was strong and had many rainstorms and downpour. 5.According to the site condition of the Alligator sinensis, the author calculated the dropping range of temperature during the ice period of the Pleistocene epoch in East China. The dropping range of annual average temperature in the middle-lower reaches of Yangtse River was about 5-6℃; 8℃ in North China; over 10℃ in North-east China; 4-5℃ in South China. 6.It was the periglacial environment of monsoon-type during the Late Pleistocene in East China and it's strength decreases from the northern part to the southern part. The region of 50° N to North was tundra zone of the monsoon; periglacial environment of cold temperate zone (continuous permafrost) in 50-40° N; periglacial environment of temperate zone (isolated masses of permafrost) in 40-32° 30'N; edge of the periglaciel enuironment of monsoon-type (isolated masses of permafrost in mountains and seasonal frozen earth in plain) in 32°, 30-27° N; the region of 27° N to south part was nothing frozen earth during the Late Pleistocene in East China. |
