英文摘要 | This research Couples the kinetics for suspended and attached growths, the concept which considers concentration of influent bacteria as an input parameter, and the principles of mass balance to construct a model for evaluating performance of hybrid reactors with a plug-flow nature. Procedure for evaluation has been conducted using the finite segment technique (i.e., tanks-in-series technique), as such, each segment becomes amenable to analysis based in the developed model. An example was illustrated to demonstrate the technique. Furthermore, plotting the outcomes from each segment, which provides the response profile along the length of the reactor, was also performed to indicate the effects of staging conditions. This model and the associated evaluating technique will be a useful tool for the design and operation of such reactor type. |
