英文摘要 | Limestone slurry was used as the absorbent in the existingFGD systems of Taipower. Because the particle size oflimestone affected its dissolution rate, in turn, dominate theefficiency of the whole absorption process. The purpose of thiswork was aimed at estabilishing a method to evaluate thegrindability of various limestones. Dissolution kinetics wasalso studied by controlling some operating parameters, including particle size, pH and temperature. Several conclusions were drawn as follows. (1) A modifiedmethod of measuring the Grindability Index in laboratorycould be used to screen the candidate limestones. (2) Thedissolution rate of Ca��+ and Mg��+ was proved to be the firstorder kinetics. (3) Controlling particle size below 45um, pHbelow 5.5, and temperature above 50℃, significantly enhancedthe dissolution of Ca��+ and Mg��+ in the FGD liquid, in turn,promoted absorption efficiency. |
