英文摘要 | Grain shedding is one of the major characteristics being evaluated frequently in ricebreeding program. The objective of the study was to evalute the feasiability of using steelrod rolling technique and breaking tensile measurement for grain shedding characteristic determmationin on rice cultivars. The results indicated that the shedding characteristic for ricegrain was under the influence of cropping season, sampling stage, degree of grain dehydration and cultivar. Both techniques were effective in evaluating the degree of grain shedding.Nevertheless, steel rod rolling appears to be more technically feasiable than breaking tensilemeasurement for shedding evaluation, owing to its easy operation and less time-consumingadvantages. |
