| 中文摘要 | 臺灣的河階地形發達,反映出活躍的新期構造運動。河階臺 地的研究對瞭解臺灣的新構造運動與地形之演化相當重要。然而 ,受限於定年的困難,河階臺地的研究一直未能有系統地展開。 近年來有人利用擴散模式模擬斜坡的演化,並將其應用於斷層崖 之定年。本文則利用擴散模式模擬河階臺地崖坡之演化,並推測 河階臺地形成之年代。 臺灣北部大漢溪下河階臺地發達,而且已有很好的碳十四 同位素定年的控制,適合測試地形定年之可靠性。本研究運用遍 歷性法則,在河階臺地崖面上廣泛地量測崖坡剖面,經過線性與 非線性擴散方程式模擬,獲得各河階臺地之相對年代。並且經過 碳十四同位素年代之校準,可推測各河階臺地之絕對年代。雖然 擴散模式之地形定年法尚有許多問題亟待解決,它仍不失為一簡 便,經濟的輔助定年方法。本研究中也肯定線性模式在地形定年 之表現上較非線性為佳。同時我們也建議利用立體製圖儀直接從 航照上量取剖面,以降低模擬誤差。 |
| 英文摘要 | The development of fluvial terraces is one of the most prominant geomorphic features in Taiwan. The study of fluvial terraces is very important in unraveling the neotectonics and geomorphological evolution of Taiwan. However, such studys have been greatly constrained by the limitations of dating methods. Recently, the diffusion model has been widely used to simulate the evolution of scarp-like landforms in order to estimate the age of a fault scarp. This paper applies the diffusion model to simulate a fluvial terrace scarp and tries to predict the formation age of the fluvial terraces. In northern Taiwan, river terraces are well developed along the lower Ta-Han-Hsi and have been intensively studied by the C-14 dating method. Here, they are selected to testify the validity of morphological dating based on the diffusion model. According to the ergodic assumption, the the terrace scarp profiles were extensively sampled and simulated by the linear ant the non-linear models. The relative age of different levels of river terraces can be obtained by both models. If the rate coefficient constant of the diffusion equations is calibrated by the known C-14 ages, the absolute age of each river terrace can be predicted within a certain range of time. Although there are many problems yet to be solved in terms of morphological dating of river terraces, diffusion modeling is considered an economical and easy way to complement the C-14 dating method. In this study, the authors have come to the conclusion that the linear model gives a more reasonable age estimation of river terraces than dose the non-linear model. This paper also suggests that a direct measurement of scarp profile from the stereo-model of aerial photographs by an analytical plotter may be a more feasible way to improve the measurement error. |
