中文摘要 | 本文主旨在探討國立嘉義農專學生在學習英文上所遭遇的困難。經由 學生反應,得知在由初學階段進入進階級階段,英文單字是大部份學生頭疼且雖 以克服的問題;因而深深影響學生在英文閱讀上有所突破。經探究得知,學生之 所以無法將所學的單字長留於記億之中,主要因素是在於學生對英文的音標認知 不消且不夠健全,更不知運用讀音拼字法(orthography)。研究發現學生一旦熟悉 音標且能靈活運用讀音拼字法,不旦可以消除對單字的恐懼感,更可以將所學的 單字記憶的更長久。當單字能力增加後.學生在英文閱讀上所遭遇的根本問題即 得以排除。 |
英文摘要 | This study examines the English learning problens of the students atNCIA (National Chiayi Institute of Agriculture). According to thepragmatic situation reacted by the students, vocabulary is one of the mostdifficult problems interfering them in improving their reading ability,Most of the students are suffered from memorying new words. Through thisstudy, the author finds out that the critical factor blocking the studentsto remember a new English word for a longer time is that a grea't portionof students do not learn phonetics well and furthermore do not know how toutilize the theory of orthography--a relationship between word spellingand pronunciation. The findings of this study highlight the phonetics tovocabulary acquisition, which is recognized as a basic requirement toiaprove reading ability. A lagged learner in English learning, if learningphonetics well and equipped with the concept of orthography, can overconethe fear of vocabulary and menorize the learned words longer. |
