| 英文摘要 | Male weaning hamsters at 3 weeks of age were fed either casein (CAS)or soy protein isolate (SPI) semipurified diet for 4 weeks (phase 1). All animalswere then switched to a stock diet (phase 2) for 1 week in Exp. 1 or for 4weeks in Exp. II. Finally, a cholesterol-enriched diet (phase 3) was given to allrats for 2 weeks in order to study the imprinting effects of early consumption ofdifferent protein on cholesterol metabolism in later life. In Exp. I, the serumcholesterol level was significantly suppressed during the early stage of cholesterolchallenge (phase 3) in hamsters previously fed SPI. However, the imprinting effect of the serum cholesterol level disappeared at the end of phase 3. It wasworth to notice that fecal acidic steroid excretion were higher in SPI group theCAS group throughout the phase 3, although serum and liver lipids showed nosignificant differce between two groups at the end of phase 3. In Exp. II, therewere no imprinting response of serum and liver lipids during cholesterol challenge(phase 3) after 4 weeks stock diet. Nevertheless, a higher fecal acidic steroid excretion was found in SPI group at the end of phase 3 that was similar to Exp. 1. the present studies strongly suggested that the imprinting effect of serumcholesterol was temporarily persisted in the adult hamsters early exposed to different dietary protein. |
