中文摘要 | 臺灣北部及鄰近海域中,有許多屬於琉球島弧的安山岩質火山及侵入體。這些火成岩體截穿或不整合覆蓋臺灣山脈的褶曲岩層,其年代都在三百萬年以內,並且大部分火山活動都由東向西愈來愈新。對臺灣的碰撞造山運動而言,這些火山岩體都是在碰撞壓縮作用停止後才噴發的。 由弧陸碰撞的板體運動模式,可知菲律賓海板塊在過去五百萬年來不斷地向西北西移動,由菲律賓海板塊下衝呂宋島弧的隱沒作用也隨之向西延伸,而逐漸侵入臺灣北部。島弧火山活動由東向西愈來愈新即反映隱沒作用的西侵。同時臺灣的碰撞作用促使沖繩海槽張裂將隱沒帶的岩漿吸入海槽中,使得島弧火山活動停止。沖繩海槽張裂也隨著碰撞作用向西延伸,因此造成臺灣北部火山活動停止的時間由東向西愈來愈晚。 |
英文摘要 | In northern Taiwan and the neighboring offshore region, numerous andesitic volcanoes and chonoliths either cut across or unconformably overlie the deformed sedimentary sequences of the Taiwan orogen. Radiometric datings show that these igneous bodies are younger than 3 Ma and most of them cluster in a narrow westward-younging zone within the last 2 Ma. These rocks were emplaced after the contractional tectonics of Taiwan and ceased and are tectonically affiliated with the Ryukyu volcanic arc. Based on the plate kinematics of arc-continent collision, the arec magmatism in northern Taiwan and neighboring offshore areas can be accounted for by the WNW movement of the Philippine Sea plate in the last 5 Ma. The onset of arc magmatism can be attributed to the westerly encrosachment of the subducting Philippine Sea plate beneath the collisional orogen. The cessation of arc magmatism is related to the westward propagation of the Okinawa trough opening. the magmatisms older than 2 Ma in the Tatun area, however, require post-volcanic westward migration of the Taiwan orogen to account for their present occurrences. |
