英文摘要 | A 36-tray distillation column coupled with a PI temperature feedback control on tray 12 by manipulating the reflux ratio was employed for handling a 8-component feed stream with the objective of maintaining at least 0.998 liquid mole fraction of key component in the overhead-product composition. A dynamic model of the entire system was then developed and solve by the relaxation method subject to a host of disturbance variables. The results from the dynamic simulation revealed that the PI temperature control loop using τ□=0.02 and Kс=2 was stable for up to 20% increase in feed rate and the corresponding response lime was about 105 min. Under the same controller settings, temperature transient responses made separately with a 5% raise in reboiler steam rate and a 10% curtailment of key component in feed composition also attested to the adequacy of the control strategy selected. All the rigorous distillation simulations were implemented on a PRIME-2250 digital computer. |
