英文摘要 | An analytical model for predicting the dynamic response of rolling stays of the main engine is presented. The rolling stay is modelled as a continuous rod connected to the engine casing and the ship hull. The engine and ship hull linked to both ends of the rolling stay are modelled as sets of equivalent mass and stiffness, which are obtained from the dynamic analysis of a three-dimensional finite element model of the engine room. Owing to the large number of degrees of freedom in the FEM model, the method of dynamic condensation was introduced to reduce the number of degrees of freedom in the 3-D finite element analysis. An important feature of the study is that the rolling stay dynamics is formulated as the two degrees of freedom system by using the analytical steady-state shape functions. The modelling results are compared with the experimental data from a sea trial of a 43,000-DWT oil tanker and show good agreement, which indicates that the proposed model is applicable to the prelimanary design phase for the rolling stays. |
