| 英文摘要 | Kinmen's distinctive military landscape has profoundly influenced residents' daily lives and serves as a vital medium for visitors to understand wartime memories and cultural heritage. This study explores the multiple meanings and future expectations associated with wartime landscapes among residents and tourists in Kinmen, comparing their similarities and differences. Using a qualitative approach that integrates participant photo-taking, semi-structured interviews, and grounded theory analysis, the study involved seven residents and six visitors. Five major categories were identified: "memory," "perception," "cognition," "emotion," and "expectation." The first four reveal the multidimensional meanings and cultural depth embedded in the landscape. Residents demonstrated everyday familiarity and emotional desensitization, often reflecting historical discontinuity and suppressed feelings, whereas visitors emphasized emotional arousal, empathy, and reflective observation. In terms of expectations, residents focused on practical revitalization and local utility, while visitors highlighted historical education and cultural symbolism. Overall, the wartime landscape serves as a platform connecting memory, identity, and regeneration, offering insights for heritage preservation, adaptive reuse, and educational promotion. |
