| 英文摘要 | This special issue, titled “Indigenous Practice and Reflection on Play Therapy in Taiwan”, comprises six specialized articles. It aims to address the trend of localizing play therapy by reflecting on the integration and adaptation required in the implementation of Western play therapy in Taiwan, drawing on empirical research and clinical experience. Additionally, it explores opportunities for developing indigenous theories of play therapy. Among the contributions, Mei-Hsiang Tsai (2024) reviews and analyzes the offerings and content of professional courses on play therapy across universities and colleges in Taiwan from academic years 2018-2022. Based on her findings, she discusses the current challenges and future prospects for professional training in play therapy. Mei-Hsueh Ho (2024) draws on her interdisciplinary experience transitioning from school-based to community-based private practice to reflect on the nuances of empathy and countertransference in interactions with parents, offering insights for practitioners and supervisors in training. Yu-Pei Shen (2024) examines the learning focus and challenges faced by novice play therapists during practicum sessions in master's programs, offering recommendations for enhancing training quality. ShuChun Lin (2024) reviews domestic literature on play therapy for children exposed to domestic violence, highlighting that filial therapy demonstrates immediate improvements in parent-child interactions. However, long-term effects are diminished due to familial stress. Lin points out that while current research focuses on the efficacy of interventions, there remains a need to elucidate the mechanisms of change and therapeutic factors. Gui-hui Su and Tsung-Chain Huang (2024) explore the experiences of mothers participating in filial therapy for children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Employing child-centered filial therapy principles, they designed a six-week short-term program incorporating culturally sensitive elements such as "heartwarming moments" to alleviate maternal stress and enhance family dynamics. Yi-Hua Tsai (2024) investigates the applicability, challenges, and recommendations for using picture books in localized play therapy, aiming to develop culturally sensitive models for future practice and research. |
