中文摘要 | 英文時態是構成英文句子的重要元素之一,也是學生學習英文困難所在。本研究旨在探討台灣技術型高中學生的英文時態錯誤類型及其成因。以南部某技術型高中37位高三學生為研究對象,透過研究者自編包含12種時態的中翻英測驗為研究工具,蒐集語料資源,採內容分析法,針對語料資源進行錯誤分析。研究結果發現:一、學生在英文時態學習時會有語際錯誤和語內錯誤兩大類型產生,但兩者很難清楚劃分,且大多是屬於綜合兩者的錯誤類型。二、關於不同時態的學習,有以下幾種情形:1.學生對於單一時間參照的簡單式與進行式時態掌握能力頗佳;但對於必須考量兩個時間參照點的各類型完成式時態,掌握能力普遍不佳;2.不規則動詞的三態變化不夠精熟;3.學生對於時態中動作發生時間(time)概念的掌握優於動詞狀態(aspect)的掌握。最後,研究者根據研究結果,提出幾項建議做為英文時態教學及未來進一步研究的參考。 |
英文摘要 | English tense is one of the most important elements which constitute sentences. However, it is the different tense variations between English and Chinese that pose obstacles to English learning for the students of Chinese native speakers. The purpose of this study was to analyze types of English tense errors made by Taiwanese vocational high school students as well as the causes leading to them. The subjects of this study were thirty-seven 12^(th) graders from one of the vocational high schools in the southern part of Taiwan. The instrument utilized in the study was a self-adapted Chinese-English translation worksheet including 12 variations of English tenses. Content Analysis was adopted to analyze the collected corpuses from students and to categorize students' English tense errors into different types. The results of this study showed that students made interlingual errors and intralingual errors. However, in most of the cases, those English tense errors made by the students featured the combination of two types of errors. Additionally, there were several findings. Firstly, the students could get a much better grasp of the variations of simple tenses and simple continuous tenses than those of perfect tenses and perfect continuous tenses. Secondly, the students were unfamiliar with the conjugation of irregular verbs. Thirdly, the students could get a better grasp of the concept of time than that of aspect. At the end of this study, several suggestions for English teaching and for further research were provided. |
