英文摘要 | Teacher professional accountability plays an important role to raise teacher effectiveness and quality. It can ensure that teachers have professional knowledge and ability, abide by professional ethics, practice professional commitment, and increase public high levels of confidence in teachers. The purpose of this article is to explore the important concepts and practical strategies of teacher professional accountability. Firstly, it explains the meaning of teacher professional accountability. Secondly, it analyzes the five important concepts of teachers professional accountability—following professional standards, improving teaching quality, fulfilling professional responsibilities, ensuring teaching excellence, and meeting public interests. Then, it discusses the challenges faced by the practice of teacher professional accountability. Finally, it offers six strategies to promote teacher professional accountability, including: to implement the self-discipline mechanism of teacher professional association et al. |
