| 英文摘要 | Two trials were conducted in sequence, in which thirty day-17-old (trial 1) and day-24-old (trial 2) male broiler chickens each were allotted to five treatments, with six replicates per treatment. Chickens were individually reared in metabolism cages and fed diets with and without supplementation of 0.02% thyme oil (T), cinnamon oil (C), oregano oil (O), and rosemary oil (R) until chickens reached day 36 (trial 1) and 44 (trial 2) of age. Digestibility of fatty acids, utilization of protein, and lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and coliform (CF) counts in intestine in each chicken were measured. The results showed that dietary supplementation with T, C, and R increased total tract and ileal digestibility of total fatty acids and most individual fatty acids (P < 0.05), particularly that of saturated fatty acids. Dietary supplementation with T, C, and R increased ileal digestibility and retention of protein and retention of digested protein (P < 0.05). Dietary supplementation with T, O, and R increased LAB in the cecum content (P < 0.05). Dietary supplementation with C and R increased LAB/CF ratio in the cecum content (P < 0.05). In conclusion, supplementing the diet of broiler chickens with T, C and R improved the digestibility of fatty acids (particularly saturated fatty acids) and protein, and increased the retention of protein after absorption. Supplementing the diet of broiler chickens with T, C, R and O improved the intestinal microbial environment. |
