英文摘要 | India is the world’s largest consumer and producer of black tea and has been at the forefront of the global tea industry since the nineteenth century. This could not have happened without institutions playing a pioneering role in the creation, nurturing and growth of India’s tea industry. This paper analyses India’s 4 billion dollar tea industry and the institutional factors that helped shape it. The work is based on existing literature and field work undertaken by the author in the Eastern and Southern regions of India. |
