中文摘要 | 本研究係以銀合歡(Leucaena leucocephala)木灰作為製備活性碳之天然活化劑,探討先驅物柳杉經銀合歡木灰(灰/水比0.20、0.25、0.33wt.%)活化、活化溫度(750、850、950°C)及持溫時間(0.5、1.0、1.5h)等條件對製備活性碳收率、碘值及其孔隙特性之影響。元素及工業分析結果顯示,柳杉含碳量(48.96%)與固定碳量(16.63%)高及灰分(0.22%)低,適合作為製備活性碳之先驅物。經銀合歡木灰活化之活性碳收率為27.6-31.9%,其碘值介於222.3及963.6mg/g間,且隨著灰/水比、活化溫度及持溫時間的提高,所製備活性碳之BET比表面積、微孔體積及總孔隙體積均隨之增加,其中以灰/水比0.33wt.%、活化溫度950°C及持溫時間1.5h條件,可製備最高比表面積1042m^2/g、微孔體積0.36cm^3/g及總孔隙體積0.53cm^3/g之柳杉活性碳。又氮氣吸脫附等溫線得知,依據Bruauer、Deming、Deming及Teller(BDDT)分類吸附等溫線類型,以銀合歡木灰作為天然活化劑,所製備之柳杉活性碳係屬type IV,即孔隙結構係為微孔及中孔所組成。上述結果可知,以木灰作為天然活化劑來製備活性碳應有其可行性。 |
英文摘要 | The study used White popinac (Leucaena leucocephala) ash as a natural activating agent for preparing activated carbon. Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) was used to prepare various activated carbons under different conditions of White popinac ash activation (ash/water ratio 0.20, 0.25 and 0.33wt.%), activation temperature (750, 850 and 950°C), and activation duration (0.5, 1.0 and 1.5h). The influence of yield, iodine value and porosity characteristics of activated carbon was investigated. The elemental and proximate analyses showed that Japanese cedar was very suitable for the preparation of activated carbons due to its high carbon content (48.96%) and fixed carbon (16.63%), and its low ash content (0.22%). The yields of activated carbons with White popinac ash activation were from 27.6 to 31.9%. The iodine values were between 222.3 and 963.6mg/g. As the increase of ash/water ratio, activation temperature and activation duration, the BET specific surface area, the micropore volume, and the total pore volume of activated carbon became higher. Japanese cedar activated carbon with ash/water ratio of 0.33wt.%, activation temperature at 950°C and activation duration of 1.5h were able to prepare the highest BET specific surface area of 1042m^2/g, micropore volume of 0.36cm^3/g, and total pore volume of 0.53cm^3/g. The nitrogen absorption-desorption isotherm for activated carbons activated with White popinac ash was designated as type IV with micro- and mesoporous structure, according to the Bruauer, Deming, Deming and Teller (BDDT) classification. And hence, it is feasibility to prepare the activated carbons by using White popinac ash as the natural activating agent. |
