英文摘要 | Although the dimensional stability of plywood is better than that of solid wood, the plywood warping is still observed after the plywood was soaked in the water. The objective of this study is to explore the behavior of Radiata Pine plywood hygroscopic warping which occurs as plywood with different moisture content among veneers reaching equilibrium moisture content. The plywood made up of four veneers with different moisture content was induced to warp under different relative humidity. The experimental results are shown as follows. The maximum and minimum central warping of plywood occurs at 12% and 8% equilibrium moisture content, respectively. The warping of plywood increases with increasing of moisture content difference between veneers of plywood at the same equilibrium moisture content. |
