英文摘要 | Spirodiclofen, a tetronic acid derivative, is a novel non-systemic acaricide acting as a lipid biosynthesis inhibitor. In the present study, susceptibility of four developmental stages of Tetranychus kanzawai, i.e. eggs, larvae, nymphs, and adults, to spirodiclofen was evaluated. The mortality of eggs, larvae, and nymphs, were 98.9, 100, and 98.9% , respectively, following spray application of spirodiclofen at 25 mg/L which was lower than the field recommendatory concentration. The LC50 values of eggs, larvae, nymphs, and male adults, were 3.14, 2.58, 5.99, and 313.52 mg/L, respectively. High concentration (3000 mg/L) spray application of spirodiclofen to female adults caused no notable mortality, but decreased the fecundity ratio to 0.05. At lower concentration (30 mg/L) the fecundity of females was not affected, but eggs were shrunken or became abnormal. After treatment with spirodiclofen, the color of eggs turned from creamy transparent to yellowish-brown. The shape of treated eggs was not changed and the embryos were able to develop to the red eyespot stage. However, they were unable to hatch. Following treatment, larvae and nymphs usually died after reaching the intervening period of quiescence. At this time, the body color turned from green or bright red to yellowish brown or dark pink, and two big melanin spots on the back were gradually disintegrated into many small spots. Finally, the body became dry. Spirodiclofen was not significantly effective on male and female adults of T. kanzawai, especially females. However, the fecundity of females was affected and the eggs became infertile. Therefore, it may be able to provide a useful tool to control other spider mites in the future. |
