中文摘要 | 本文探討唱片公司對虛擬版音樂商品採取不同價格策略時,對唱片公司利潤、消費者剩餘和整體社會福利的影響效果。我們發現(1)唱片公司同時經營實體通路市場與虛擬通路市場時,發現對虛擬版數位商品收費、增加商品種類和提高消費者對不同通路購買的差異性,都是可以提高自身利潤;(2)兩商品採用收費制度,將可以使唱片公司獲取最大利潤,同時也使整體社會福利達到極大;(3)另外,當唱片公司提供收費實體版和免費虛擬版時,虛擬版的使用人數越多時,實體版的購買人數也越多;(4)再者,從公平交易的使用者付費觀點來看,唱片公司對虛擬版商品進行收費是正確,並且對整體社會福利亦是有利的。 |
英文摘要 | This paper studies the effects of a record company adopting different pricing strategies for virtual music goods on the company’s profit, consumer’s surplus and social welfare. We show that (1)after a record company charges for virtual music goods, part of the users of virtual music goods will be unwilling to pay for the goods. This will influence the users of the entity’s music goods, and as a result the company’s profit, consumer’s surplus and social welfare will all increase. (2) According to the fair trade standpoint, the company charging for the virtual music goods seeks to make a profit. Hence, the charging strategy is based on economic efficiency. We suggest that the company will make an effort to raise the user's utility from using the virtual music goods. For instance, the company can engage in product diversification or customization to increase the number of users so that social welfare can be enhanced. In addition, the implications of the comparative statics and numerical analysis are also discussed in the paper. |
