| 英文摘要 | There is a large amount of tiny seam-like defectsdistributing well on both billet surfaces B and D which are the contact faces with up and down roll individually. By investigating its characteristics and mechanism, this study verified that the tiny defects result from rolled-in scale. In order to evaluate in advance the effect of descaling process on reducing sticky scale before rolling, the tested billets were deliberately arranged to be descaled by the descaler installed in front of the scarifying machine in the opposite rolling direction. Both the amount of residual scales before rolling and macro etching revealed that descaling process could efficienty improve the surface quality. Then the descaling box designed with higher jetting water pressure was installed prior to R-mill in Nov. 2005. Through regression analysis the relationship between descaling pressure and descaling effect, and the jetting water pressure was concluded to be higher than 130BAR. After descaling, the billet grinding time can be significantly reduced by 0.6min/pcs on average. The estimated grinding capacity can be increased by 94,523MT per year. |
