英文摘要 | This study was designed to assess students' perceptions of the relative difficulty of learning different kinds of English language skills and to investigate how teachers' perspectives of the difficulty of teaching those same skills match these students' perceptions. The data for this study derived from survey questionnaires completed by 39 senior university students, and from interviews with three English teachers who were teaching, or had taught, these senior students. Both quantitative and qualitative procedures were included. Of the ten specific English languages skills investigated, the student participants consistently cited writing, translation, and interpretation as the three most difficult to master. The results of the interviews with teachers supported the students' perceptions. Matters for discussion and suggestions for further consideration are included at the end of the study. |
