中文摘要 | 美濃水庫近30年來,已進行多次地質地查及評估,並已累積相當多的基本地質資料,但於1998年再進行階段性評估及1999年進行美濃水庫地質構造特性研究調查後,許多專家學者對於水庫大壩與集水區範圍內的地層分層與地質構造,反而新增一些不同的見解。為解決這些地質問題的爭議,經濟部水利署乃委託經濟部中央地質調查所進行「美濃水庫區域地質之爭議主題論證計畫」。 本所參酌長江三峽大壩工程論證模式,自2001年至2004年進行三階段之主題論證計畫。第一階段論證是有關於地層分層、區域地質構造解釋、斷層延伸與分布及斷層活動特性的部分,學者專家最後大致獲得共識;唯對於竹頭山斷層是否存在最具爭議性,因資料不足以論斷,故未獲得一致的結論,因此衍生必須進行後續的論證工作。第二階段論證主要是增加鑽井補充調查,鑽井岩心經詳細分析後,由地層對比結果,顯示在推測之竹頭山斷層線兩側之化石指準層(有孔蟲及貝化石層)及岩性層序均可連續對比,因此獲得「在本鑽探區域範圍內並無竹頭山斷層通過之跡象,但竹頭山斷層在本鑽探區域範圍之外是否存在則尚無法判定」的共識。為此,又於2004年進行第三階段論證,同時於推測斷層之另外一區段增加相關之補充調查(鑽井、地表地質調查及航照判釋等)。由調查結果顯示,竹頭山斷層兩側岩層之岩性層序及化石指準層均可連續對比,且由航照判釋結果,亦顯示在預定壩址左、右兩岸的岩層呈連續性的延展,並無被斷層錯動的跡象。經三個階段的證論,最後的結果很清楚,所得共識是:在預定的美濃水庫範圍內,壩址區域並無竹頭山斷層存在的證據。 |
英文摘要 | For the last 30 years, the Meinong reservoir went through several geological investigations and assessments, resulting in the accumulation of a substantial amount of data. In 1998, a stepwise assessment and in 1999, investigation on the characteristic of the geological structure were performed. Nonetheless, there are still disagreements regarding geological security of the reservoir dam and the watershed region among the specialists. In order to resolve the dispute, the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of economic Affairs, decided to request the Central Geological Survey to convene a forum with the theme: Contentious viewpoints regarding the regional geology of the Meinong reservoir. Using "Sansia dam of the Yangtze River project proof mode" as a working example, the forum was scheduled to take place in three stages from 2001 to 2004. The first stage of the forum focused on the interpretation of the stratigraphy, regional geology, geologic structures and distribution of the active fault. Consensus among specialists has been reached except for the existence of the Chutousan fault in the studied area due to insufficient data, therefore the forum had to continue. In the second stage, a supplemental drilling investigation was carried out, the result of the stratigraphic correlation was that the key fossil beds (shell and Operculina fossil) on both sides of the Chutousan fault were continuous, giving rise to the consensus that the Chutousan fault does not exist in the drilling region. However, outside this drilling region, the existence of the Chutousan fault remains an open question. A third stage was held on 2004, Further investigation (ex. Drilling, geology survey, aerial photo interpretation and analysis) was carried out and as a result of the investigation, the lithological characters, sequence and key fossil beds on both sides of the Chutousan fault were well correlated. Rock beds on both sides of the dam site showed no sign of relative movement from the aerial photo interpretation. Therefore, according to the result of the three stages of the forum has provided concrete evidence to support the assertion that the Chutousan fault can't possible exist within the vicinity of the dam site. |
