英文摘要 | This article presents a combined analytical-numerical study for the osmophoretic motion of a spherical vesicle parallel to a plane wall. The imposed concentration gradient is constant and parallel to the wall, and the vesicle is assumed to maintain its spherical shape. The presence of the plane wall causes two basic effects on the vesicle velocity: first, he local concentration gradient on the vesicle surface is enhanced by the wall, thereby speeding up the vesicle; secondly, the wall increases viscous retardation of the moving vesicle. To solve the concentration and hydrodynamic governing equations, the general solutions are constructed from the fundamental solutions in both the rectangular and spherical coordinate systems. The boundary conditions are enforced first at the plane wall by the Fourier transforms and then on the vesicle surface by a collocation technique. Numerical results for the osmophoretic migration velocity of the vesicle are presented for various values of the parameter k and □ of the vesicle and the relative separation distances between the vesicle and wall. |
