中文摘要 | 隨著電腦科技的進步,以及英語教學學術界近年來對於電腦輔助教學的多方研究與應用,利用電腦來輔助外語學習已成將來必然之趨勢。然而,儘管教育部以及各教育機構早已體認到電腦輔助教學在資訊世紀的重要性,並以投下重金加強軟硬體設備,目前在各級學校推動電腦輔助外語教學的成效似仍不彰。深究之下,現任英語教師對於電腦的恐懼和反抗,是造成政策窒礙難行的主要原因。因此,對於在職教師提供電腦輔助外語教學的訓練,以及在現在培育師資的英語教學學程當中,加入電腦輔助外語教學的課程,乃為當務之急。本文由探討電腦輔助外語教學的有效性作為研究起點,加以對各國電腦輔助外語教學的實施現況觀察,提出國內加強電腦輔助外語教學課程的重要性及可能的實施方向。 |
英文摘要 | As computer-assisted language learning (CALL) gains in importance and popoularity in the language teaching profession, it is essential to investigate and identify the key issues surrounding CALL and the university TESL teacher education curriculum. In such courses, for example, the implication of the introduction of CALL to an ESL curriculum and its limitations should be fully discussed, as should the various aspects of CALL development. In addition, given that fears of computer programming have contributed to the psychological barriers that have prevented many teachers from attempting to learn about CALL, hands-on experience with multimedia authoring should also be valuable. After all, before teachers decide on how they feel about CALL and how courses should be designed, they should have an opportunity to explore how well they handle the task of authoring. Therefore, in an effort to help university TESL training programs to better ease future teachers into CALL, several user-friendly authoring software packages are also introduced. |
