英文摘要 | D-xylose was bioconverted into ethanol using yeast of Pichica stipitis CBS 57.3 A similar effect of the oxygen transfer coefficient, □a, on the ethanol yield was observed among various configurations of bioreactors, namely, shake flask (250 ml, 500ml), spinner flask (400 ml), and stirred tank (5L). That is , the ethanol yield could reach about 0.37g ethanol/g xylose if □a was lower than 0.004 □. It was noted that the yield fell rapidly as □a increased, however, thigh aeration rate promotes cell growth rate. Also, the technique of strain adaption and selection was used successfully th enable the yeast to ferment the newspaper hydrolyzates. Again, the effect on the yield due to □a in both synthetic and hydrolyzate media was quite consistent. |
