中文摘要 | 一般而言,宗教的傳統內涵可以有許多層面,如理念、儀式、組織等。宗教往往透過理念、儀式、組織等方面的實踐,構成其和社會之間的互動關係,並在實踐的過程中形成不同的歷史傳統,佛教也不例外。本文旨在透過「教育」管道,來看佛教理念如何於社會與生活中實踐。本文探討的焦點在於臺灣佛教理念與實踐間的對話,是除了慈悲濟世外的「另一種」對話形態 -- 即基於佛陀智慧理念而開展出信眾的教育工作。此外,並以「佛教理念」為主要課題,探討其如何藉「教育」此一管道於社會與生活中實踐,以立足於當代臺灣,並延續其宗教生命。此課題不論在時間或對象方面,涉及的範圍皆頗為廣泛,因此本文在時間界定上,主要是以八○、九○年代的臺灣為主;而對象方面則以「香光尼僧團高雄紫竹林精舍佛學研讀班」 (以下簡稱精舍研讀班) 為例,做個案觀察與探討。 |
英文摘要 | Generally speaking, there are many different dimensions including ideas, rituals, and organizations, and so on, in the content of religious tradition. Religion usually interacts with society through the practices of these dimensions, which process also forms different historical traditions. Buddhism is no exception. THis paper aims at demonstrating how to practice "Buddhist ideas" in the real life and society through the medium of education. It focuses on "another" dialogue pattern-that is, the layperson education based on the wisdom of the Buddha's ideas--contracting to the pattern of compassion charity. The time scope of this paper is limited to the 1980's and 1990's of Taiwan. And, the subject of this study is Bambusa Nana Luminary Study Group in Kaohsiung. |
