英文摘要 | The satellite networks will be one of the primary media for the global communication in the next generation. But also present new challenges to common internet applications. There are many popular internet applications perform to user expectation over satellite networks, such as video-teleconferencing, distance learning, Mbone multicast, bulk data transfer, electronic mails, and non-real-time information dissemination. However, some other applications, especially Highly interactive applications, suffer from inefficiencies of current TCP standard over the long-latency of satellite links. Some TCP improving technologies will be introduced here. Therefore, the performance of these applications can be improved by utilizing many of the techniques discussed in this paper. |
