中文摘要 | 本文主旨在將逢甲大學歷史課程,由「本國歷史」演變到今天「歷史領域」課程的規劃過程及實施做一報告。內文大致分為三部份,首先介紹逢甲大學通識教育組織架構與整點課程設計;第二部份介紹從「本國歷史」到「歷史領域」課程的變革;最後則檢討新課程實施後的優缺點,並提出對當前歷史課程變革的建議,大致有以下三點: 1.大學歷史教育要合理化,要有信心,要有自信,因歷史知識是傳承人類知識中不可或缺的,面對歷史課程變革,應冷靜應對。 2.歷史教育要更開闊,不一定要固守本位,但此種本位有時會被外在環境侷限,或因中國歷史、中國現代史太教條而全開臺灣史,若全部變成本土化,這樣的格局或許反而太狹益了,不能為討好政治的現實層面,而忽略歷史知識的共通性。 3.歷史教育要具深度,不僅要立足本土,更要與世界接軌,在過與不及間,值得大家共同思考。 |
英文摘要 | The history curriculum at Feng Chia University has developed from an earlier focus on Chinese History to the recent broader view of the Historical Realm. The purpose of this report is to summarize the plannig process and implementation of this development. This report is separated into three parts. First, the organizational structure and the entire curriculum design of the general education will be introduced. Secondly, the change of curriculum from Chinese History to the Historical Realm will be discussed. Lastly, the strengths and weaknesses of the new curriculum will be assessed. In addition, the following recommendations are made for the reform of the current history curriculum: 1.The purpose of college history education is to have a reasonable curriculum and confident and qualified teachers, since the knowledge of historical characters and events is essential in human learning experience. Therefore, it is the educators' responsibility to handle any major reform in the history curriculum with great care. 2.History education should cover a broad area instead of focusing on the departmental expertise. The history curriculum should not be restricted to Introduction to History, Modern Chinese History, or Taiwan History . It also should not ignore the commonality of knowledge in history due to the current political situation. 3.There should be a depth to history education. A carful balance should be struck between having a solid grounding in our own history and gaining a broader knowledge of world history. |
