中文摘要 | 從國小到大學,歷史課都是學生課表中的基本成員。然而,學生對歷史課的興趣,卻隨著年紀的增長而遞減,越來越不感興趣。到了大學,許多學生甚至將歷史課視為營養學分,上課時聊天、睡覺者大有人在,缺席、不交報告者也時有所聞。這種要輕鬆得高分,又不願認真學習的態度,嚴重影響了歷史課的教學品質,也成為歷史課教學上的困境。因此,在短暫的一學期中,該如何重整學生的學習態度,進而體會歷史學科的重要性,便成為老師上課的首要目標。這幾年,受到全球化的浪潮影響以及企業界對國際觀人才的需求,學生們開始願意花更多的時間了解世界各國的發展及起源。在此需求上,世界歷史便成為學生認識世界的最佳途徑。因此,在課程的設計上,筆者將課程一分為二:一方面,由筆者主講世界各文明的起源與發展;另一方面,則由學生來主導,從身邊的人事物開始,針對某一事件、現象或是習俗等課題,報告其歷史源流與影響。為了增進學生們的興趣,授課時,筆者除了介紹世界各國的歷史發展外,還會結合當今的國際大事,加以分析與討論。在學生的報告方面,則是要求學生將報告的課題放在歷史的脈絡中討論,從「人類的現在」了解「人類的過去」,進而關心「人類的未來」。 |
英文摘要 | Although every student has to learn history, it's more and more conspicuous recently that the history courses are ignored by most college students. Actually, as the core of general education, history courses play an important and speedy way to learn other academic education. The best way to correct college students' wrong notion of history courses and general education is to make students recognize the connection between general education and academic education. Therefore, the article tries to explain two questions: first, what is the general education's logic? And second, how to design and map out the course of Global Ancient Civilization? In light of general education's logic, teachers have to adjust frequently their teaching skills and teaching materials to students' interests and requirements. Besides, how to link up historical events with contemporary global news and students' surroundings is also important to history courses. From above questions and interpretations, teachers will have an explicit destination to encourage students' interest in learning history, and to place importance on the general education. |
