英文摘要 | A sequence of linear approximations is presented for the description of intraparticle adsorption of a spherical sorbent particle subject to a step change in the surface concentration. The approximations were developed by considering the dependence of mass transfer coefficient on adsorption time. Excellent agreement between the present approximation (n = 3) and the exact solution was found and relative errors are less than 0.58 %. In terms of simplicity and accuracy, the present approximations are superior to other previously available ones reported in the literatures. |
