英文摘要 | In series with a power-facter-improvement capacitor, a 6% reactor is usually added to suppress the surge current at distribution power systems. This leads to the voltage rising at capacitor terminal. Besides, the capacitors chosen for harmonic supprdssion often have a higher voltage rating. These two fold effects incur the terminal voltage of capacitors overwhelming that of the bus, not only drastically diminishe the compensating reactive power against what is expected but also lower the ability of harmonic suppression. This article focuses on this aspect with a few actual misusing cases illustrated. |
