英文摘要 | Leaf analysis is being widely used as an aid in diagnosing micronutrient mutritional status of perennial crops, but if leaf analysis is to be used effectively as a diagnostic tool either experimentally or commercially, the seasonal trends and the relative sensitivity of the response of tea leaves from different positions upon the plant to the elements, in quenstion, must be known. This experiment was conducted at the Station farm from summer, 1964 to spring, 1965. Three varieties of tea plant, namely, Ying-tze-hong-shin, Chin-shin-ta-pang, and Huang-gan were used throughout the experiment. Micronutrients including boron, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum, and zinc were applied to the soil at four rates and in the forms of H3BO3, CuSO4.5H2O, FeSO4.7H2O, MnSO4.2H2O, Na2MoO4.2H2O, and ZnSO4.7H2O, respectively. After collection of plant samples in different seasons, they were immediatly separated into five portions, i.e., bud +1st young leaves, 2nd young leaves, 3rd yound leaves, matured leaves just below the fish leaf of the newest tender shoot and young stems, for chemical analyses. The results of this experiment may be summerized as follows: 1. It was found that the concentrations of boron, and manganese tended to increase with the age of the leaf, whereas, copper and zinc tended to decrease. The concentration of iron in the yound leaf portions tended to decrease with the age of leaf. On the contrary, the iron concentrations in the matured leaves were usually higher than that in young leaf portions. 2. Soil application of boron, manganese, and rion, in most case, increased the concentrations of boron, manganese, and iron in the matured leaves but had less effect in the tender leaf portions. It was especially true in the case of boron application. Whereas, soil application of copper and zinc usually increased the concentrations of copper and zinc in the tender leaf portions but had little effect matured leaves. It indicated that the response of matured leaves to the soil application of boron, manganese, and iron was more significant than that of tender leaf portions. The reverse was true for the soil application of copper and zinc. 3. Important differences in the seasonal changes of five micronutrients in different positions of tea leaves were found. It was temporarily concluded that leaf samples could be collected either in spring or in summer season. Due to the differences in the mobility of nutrients in tea plant, it was better to collect tender and matured leaves at the same time and analyzed separately for diagnostic purpose. |
