英文摘要 | The wilt disease is the most destructive disease of peanut in Taiwan particularly in the second crop. It causes a loss of 9-15% of the total production every year. The most important wilt diseases are Diphlodia sp. wilt, Sclerotium rolfsii, Sclerotinia arachids, Sclerotinia miyabeana, Furarium spp. and Pseudomonas solanacearum. The investigation of the disease resistance has been made in the regional tests from 1954 to 1955. The results showed that the varieties Taunung No.1 and Tsingtao were only lightly attacked by wilt as compared with other tested varieties. The observation made in the period of 1956-57 showed that the varieties Spanish white, Southern Cross, Kinorales, and Kingman which belong to spanish type together with Tainan Pei-Yu-Tou (Check variety) were more resistant to wilt than all other new introduced varieties. In 1958, 11 varieties of Spanish type and 19 varieties of Virginia type were inoculated with Sclerotium rolfsii. The results showed that the varieties Spanish white, Southern Cross, TARI H-51B-123 and Early Runner were more resistant than other varieties. |
