中文摘要 | 近年來檢驗醫學的新發展,包含了許多分子生物學的技術,特別是以核酸技術進行醫學檢驗的工作,為了配合時代需求,臺大醫事技術學系自八十六學年度起開設「分子生物學導論」選修課程,這門課規劃在大二下學期。本項課程的教學目標,是以淺顯易懂的方式,在一學期中以每週二小時的時間,讓學生學習到分子生物學的基本知識,同時選用在一學期內學生有能力讀完的課本,以鼓勵學生對英文課本的研讀能力,希望學生能提早接觸本系的科目,促進本系教師與學生的情感與互動。同時也可以利用這個課程的機會,介紹本系其他教師的研究主題,以增進學生對於實驗室研究工作的興趣。本文就開設本課程的源起,課程的設計及安排,以及經過兩年的授課情形做一個回顧及檢討。 |
英文摘要 | Recent developments in molecular biology have given rise to a new era in understanding the pathology of human disease. Advances in recombinant nucleic acid technology have enabled researchers to identify genes responsible for inherited disease, to dissect the pathologic mechanisms of infectious organisms, and to define the regulators of cell differentiation and proliferation which act aberrantly in neoplasia. Diagnostic application of this molecular technology is a trend of the future. In 1998, the Department of Medical Technology, National Taiwan University offered a new course of 'Introduction to Molecular Biology'. This course was intended for sophomore students in medical technology. The aim of this course was to provide basic knowledge in molecular biology and its application potential in laboratory medicine. A simple book in English was chosen as a textbook to encourage students to read scientific articles in English. The course was taught in a step-by-step fashion to reach a level that would allow the student to understand the principles of diagnostic application. It is hoped that through this course students will become more interested in clinical laboratory research. Most students responded in a very positive way and showed great interest to this course. This course also provided better interactions between students and faculty in this department. |
