英文摘要 | 2-Aminofluorene had been shown to induced DNA adduct in rat leukocytes after dietary 2-aminofluorene exposured to Spregue-Dawley rats. Previous evidence from this laboratory demonstrated that 2-aminfluorene exposure to the leukocytes media results in acetylated 2-aminofluorene production. This work investigated vitamin C affect 2-aminofluorene acetylations in rat leukocytes. We show in this study that after 80 μ M vitamin C in leukocytes a decreased acetylated 2-aminofluorene is also detected in the leukocytes culture. Evidence is presented here that rat mononuclear leukocytes are capable of acetylating 2-aminofluorene. Vitamin C did inhibit 2-aminofluorene acetylation. Cultured lymphocytes produced about twice as much N-acetyl-2-aminofluorene from 2-aminofluorene as monocytes. After cotreatred with vitamin C in the lymphocytes and monocytes cultures indicated that vitamin C did decrease 2-aminofluorene acetylations. |
