中文摘要 | 本研究針對1990-1997年台灣漁產品貿易資料,利用Grubel-Lloyd指數法探討台灣 漁產品產業內貿易的結構與其影響因素。其實證結果顯示,台灣未調製漁產品的產業內貿易 程度比已調製漁產品來得高,不論是否為調製的漁產品,平均每人國民所得、匯率及進口比 重等變數均對其產業內貿易產生正向的影響。基於漁產品種類間各具有不同的垂直型與水平 型品質差異性,致使得產品品質差異性此變數對未調製漁產品的IIT值產生正向(0.1133) 的影響,但對已調製漁產品的IIT值卻呈現負向(-0.4306)的關係。此外,進口關稅對台灣 漁產品IIT值具有負向的影響,未來台灣漁產品進口關稅若下降100%,則將使得漁產品產 業內貿易的程度增加43.222%。 |
英文摘要 | This paper presents an empirical analysis of intra-industry trade (IIT) in Taiwan's fishery trade. The characteristics and determinants of IIT are examined over period January 1990 through December 1997. A greater degree of IIT but with less variation is found in raw (live/fresh/frozen/chilled) seafood as compared to prepared/preserved seafood. The findings provide an evidence that IIT in the Taiwan's fishery sector is positively influenced by GDP per capita, exchange rate and product import concentration. In contrast to other determinants, product differentiation has reverse influences on raw (0.1133) and prepared/preserved(-0.4306) seafood, mainly resulting from the role of vertical/horizontal product differentiation on each category of trade. In addition, import tariff is a significant and negative explanatory variable for such trade and further fishery trade liberalization would lead to 43.222% of the IIT increase in Taiwan. |
