英文摘要 | This paper is to verify the theory of Contrastive Analysis (CA): those elements that are similar to the learner's native language will be simple for him, and those areas that are different will be difficult. According to Burt in 1975, interference from a student's first language is the major predictor of phonological errors while interference errors are only one of the types of errors found in the syntax, morphology and lexicon. I make a brief analysis of Japanese learning difficulty in English pronunciation. In finally conclude that Contrastive Analysis (CA) theory applies to the phonological part of Japanese. Japanese poor English pronunciation and learning difficulty have much to do with their mother tongue interference. |
