英文摘要 | The torsional behavior of prestressed high performance concrete (HPC) beams is investigated and compared with the predictions by ACI 318-95, space softened truss model, and skew-bending theory. The primary variables considered were the compressive strength of concrete, amount of torsional stirrups, level of prestressing, and thickness of the concrete cover. Test results revealed that the level of axial prestressing, within the range of 10% of □□ / □’□, did not show significant effect on the post racking torsional stiffness and the ultimate strength. The spalled truss model, ACI 318-95 code provision and skew-bending theory underestimated the ultimate torsional strength of Tee beams. The prediction of torsional cracking strength proposed by Hsu for Tee and rectangular beams correlated well to the test results of this study. |
