中文摘要 | 英國1988年的教育改革方案,使得評量這個議題成為舞臺上聚光燈追逐的焦點。本研究以這個爭議性大,但也因而具有高度學習價值的議題為研究興趣,聚焦在英格蘭的三個小學,以四週的實地觀察、晤談,及相關文件和文獻的分析為方法,勾勒出目前英格蘭地區在學習評量方面所展現的最新圖像,以及這些圖像背後值得思考與借鏡的議題。基本上,1988年教育改革法案之後英國的教育領土進入重劃階段,而評量在這項重劃工作中具有舉足輕重的位子。從本研究的田野工作所展現的圖像是:具有競爭性格的新評量實踐與傳統的評量方式雙雙掙扎、糾結在目前英國的小學教室之中。藉著這一個權力角逐的畫面,有關評量的議題逐一浮現,它們分別是:評量排行榜、附加價值、刀口效應等等。另外在方法的面向也針對研究者的角色、三角測量和主體性的解構等主題進行反思與論述。 |
英文摘要 | The Educational Reform Act 1998 makes assessment a key issue in England. Therefore, the focus of this study is the issue of assessment in English primary schools. Three primary schools in England have been selected as the cases. During a four-week field study the following methods have been employed, i.e. interviewing, observation, and documentary analysis. The main picture emerging from this study is that since the implementation of National Curriculum Assessment the new trend of assessment practices are fused with as well as competing with the traditional assessment practices in English primary schools. Through the analyzing of this picture many important issues of assessment in England have been investigated, such as league table, added value and competition etc. Furthermore, the reflection upon methodolgy has been provided as the second part of this article. The main issues emerging from this reflection include triangulation, the role of researcher as well as the deconstruction of subjectivity. |
