英文摘要 | With the postmodern trend and the multicultural society formation. multicultural education becomes the most important issue to teach students about adjusting diverse cultures and accepting different groups. Related to the success of multicultural education or not, teachers need to absorb the multicultural capability and wisdom: therefore, it is necessary to reform from traditional single institution for teacher education to multicultural teacher education ones. This article interprets the goals, content and the real situation in England about multicultural education, explaining the importance and programs of multicultural teacher education, and then analyze the essence of multicultural teacher education through several aspects: functionalism, conflict theory and hegemony in sociology. critical theory and postmodernism. |
